BRITISH COUNCIL CREATIVE INDUSTRIES FORUM

MC

I moderated the British Council’s International Policy Forum on the Creative Industries at Zorlu PSM in Istanbul, bringing together diplomats, policymakers, academics, and cultural workers from Turkey and across Europe.

The discussions focused on how the creative economy can be a force for social justice, sustainable development, and challenging entrenched power structures. We tackled big questions around new business models, the rise of creative cities, and how technology impacts access and representation in culture.

It was a crucial space to push for policies that center inclusion, equity, and community-led innovation—because culture should serve people, not profit.
